AI advice from someone who's been on both sides of the table

I'm Kris Farebrother. I started my career as a software developer, writing code, building systems, solving technical problems. Then I moved into testing, then into Agile coaching and facilitation. I've spent years sitting in rooms full of business people trying to explain what their tech team is doing, and in rooms full of developers trying to understand what the business actually needs.

That's the gap most AI advice falls into. The people who understand the technology can't speak your language. The people who speak your language don't understand the technology. I've been on both sides, and I built Prime Meridian AI to bridge that gap.

The problem I keep seeing

Every week I talk to business owners who are smart, experienced, and good at what they do. They know AI is changing their industry. They've tried a few tools. They've been to a webinar or two. And they're still not sure what's actually relevant to their specific business.

The advice they can find is either too generic ("AI will transform everything!") or too technical ("just implement an RAG pipeline"). Neither helps. What they need is someone who can sit down, understand how their business actually works, and tell them, in plain English, where AI can genuinely make a difference.

That's what I do. I sit down with your team, learn how they actually work, and produce a clear, prioritised map of your AI opportunities. All explained in language you can act on.

Background

I studied Physics at Imperial College London. I worked as a software developer in finance: SQL, C++, C#, backend systems. I moved into quality assurance, then became a Scrum Master and Agile Coach, where I spent years facilitating teams, coaching leadership, and running workshops for groups of up to 130 people.

Along the way I lived in several countries, learned several languages, and developed a knack for explaining complex ideas to non-technical audiences. That combination (technical fluency, coaching instincts, and an ability to translate) is what makes the AI Audit work.

I don't just hand you a report. I make sure you understand it.

Why Prime Meridian AI

I built this business because I saw the same pattern over and over: owner-managed firms (accountancies, law firms, recruitment agencies, creative agencies) spending money on AI tools they didn't need, or doing nothing because they didn't know where to start. Either way, they were losing time and money.

The big consultancies charge six figures and deliver frameworks. The dev agencies build whatever you ask for without questioning whether it's the right thing. Neither starts by listening.

I start by listening. The Insider Method exists because the best way to find AI opportunities in a business is to talk to the people who do the work, not to score yourself against someone else's template.
